My two favorite store bought stouts in the whole world: Rogue Shakespeare Stout and Lion Stout. My other favorites are all undistributed microbrews (Old Penninsula, Mickey Finn's) and my own Coffee Stout, Oatmeal Stout and Robust Porter recipes.

A Cream Ale is basically an american Kolsch. (no cream involved) Genessee Cream Ale and New Glarus Spotted Cow are notable examples. My own recipe is my favorite though.

Sorry, I totally forgot about this...

If you haven't had the Two Brother's Heavy Handed IPA, I recommend it. Bell's Two Hearted Ale, Lagunitas IPA, Stone IPA, Commodore Perry (Great Lakes), Dark Horse Crooked Tree IPA. But I'm not much of a hoppy beer drinker and those are just ones I've had and liked. I mostly go for stouts, wheats, cream ales and belgians.
