i didn't really know ANYTHING about it going into it other than assumption that like some nuclear holocaust happened. it surprised me. some of the special effects were kind of shitty but the movie was entertaining and i thought had a decent story (even though there's tons of.. .but.. uhh, how... but...)

(10:16:43 PM) letskillowen: the effects (not the zombies but the animals and city) were kinda shitty
(10:17:07 PM) Alexx: Yeah
(10:17:34 PM) letskillowen: like they put all the good people on zombies and then the new guy got to do some deer
(10:17:54 PM) Alexx: hahaha
(10:18:10 PM) letskillowen: and there was one scene with a zoom out of the city street and it looked like a video game from 1999
(10:18:26 PM) Alexx: hahaha
(10:18:33 PM) letskillowen: but it was a pretty awesome story
I don't know anything about it either. I'll take your word for it and check it out. Maybe it'll be playing on the plane home tomorrow.
yeah i just happened to catch it on hbo and im sick or i wouldn't of watched it. that said, it's worth a watch. i might even watch it again sometime.
I really disliked that movie. Having read the book, which that flick shat all over, i know how good the movie could and should have been. It was impossible for me to not feel underwhelmed by it.

agreed, the movie was a huge letdown compared to the book but what isnt
My husband watched the movie then read the book. I must say, that must be the order in which everyone needs to do things now.
I never read the book, but agree that the special effects were bad. The CGI zombies and animals were reminding me of an old Sinbad movie (the pirate, not the comedian) with claymation animals.
i watched that too this weekend, and i have to ask: if the zombies were so aggressive and blood-thirsty, why didn't they just kill each other until they were all dead?
