Springtime in the South of France

I'm scouting airfare for a trip to France this May, to visit my college roommate, who's living there with her lover and their baby, renovating a Chateau.  Anyone know any tricks to getting good fares to Lyon?

i don't have any tips for cheap fare, but if you get the chance, venture further south to Nice. the beaches are made of rocks, but the water's beautiful and the town (especially the old town) is amazing.
