its been a long time and a lot has happened
i got into tafe and i havent been online much so im going to give you an update cause i probably wont check the forums much.
i got accepted into tafe and was supposed to start on the 17th of august. they called me and i ended up starting monday last week. im a week and a half in and im having alot of fun and (patheticly) injuring myself a fair bit.
living at home sucks pretty damn bad and im really not getting along with my dad
my boyfriend mat is just fucking amazing.
the biggest news i have to tell you guys is that my ex-boyfriend dave passed away. most of you would have heard me talk about him at least once and i dated him for about 3 years. on the 9th he died in his sleep. there was an infection that could have been caused by any of his stupid behaviour where he has injured himself and not taken care of it and it had spread through his body. he had a sprained ankle and i think his body just couldnt take trying to heal his ankle and fight off the infection at the same time. his family said that he looked peaceful so dispite the pain he was in for the days beforehand it should have been pretty peaceful.
his family is the hardest part. i saw his brother thats my age and his 13 year old sister came to see me while they were waiting for the cops to leave. needless to say they were a mess and we got completely wasted. the funeral was epic. it was in some big italian church and was really fancy. it was good seeing his parents and the uncles that i had spoken to, as well as the people i didnt get to see after we broke up.
before you ask, im doing ok. im dealing with this really well and im not letting it get to me too much. i have been distracted with tafe and took my first day off tafe 3 days in to go to the funeral. i have lots of people offering support and everything but really mats taking care of me better than i could have ever asked for. he was a really close friend of daves as well and knew him before i would have known either of them.
but all in all im doing really good.

sounds like a lot to deal with at once. Sorry to hear about Dave, and good luck at Tafe! You'll do great.
